I just visited MSI website and it seems they already listed a few vendors, including zipzoomfly.com, who have the board.

Oh, one more thing, the nvidia 250gb chipset has native SATA right? That means I don't need to have the floppy ready with drivers? Just making sure.

No, that is a Windows install issue, not a Motherboard driver issue. You will need to copy the drivers to a floppy. Actually, I think this board comes with a driver floppy...at least I hope it does.

Hm.. I thought native SATA means you just plug in the hd and it works. ( like past mobos and ide drives)

I don't think so. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong though.

Edit-I think native SATA means that it runs through the system chipset instead of off the PCI bus.

Newegg has the motherboard on stock now Waiting for Bar81 review on it. I already have a DTR 2800 to try it with and a regular 3200 just in case I need to do some bios flashing

Well when I installed xp pro on my VNF3-250 it didn't need a driver disk (as i remember). So i'm not expecting this one to need it also - I'll let you guys know for sure on monday.

and its only $147 on Newegg. That's about the price I paid for my MSI KT266Pro This time three years ago.

Any thoughts on what the 939s are gonna cost when they finally hit the streets in the US (and, for that matter, when the best time to buy them once they DO will be?)

I doubt there will be much difference between the two sockets - I dont know about you but i'm not willing to shell out another few hundred to get 10 more fps in games. I'd rather have another raptor

I ordered it off of NewEgg and yeah I think native SATA means the mobo is already compatible with SATA hard drives therefore no driver installation required at win xp install time. Like SeaFoam said. We'll see. Gets here Thursday! w00t!

Please keep us informed on the SATA situation. The SATA drivers on the Neo-FIS2R are utterly ridiculous and won't function 50% of the time. I want to throw the board out the window. Thanks.

Just a Quick question?.. How many of you will be running an amd 64 3200 on this board.. The K8N section of msi website says it will run 3400 and up.. MSI cpu support list says it will run 3000+..

I'm gonna run a 3000+ on it. And, I'm pretty sure it can run any Athlon 64, I think all that is probably a marketing scheme so more people will buy the more expensive processors or something like that. Unless it is a hardware issue.

Yes it will run the 2800+ and up. BTW, if you guys are having driver problems and whatnot check out http://www.planetamd64.com they only deal with the AMD 64 and have a lot of drivers.

This board should support ANY Athlon 64 CPU.. Im sure it'll take the 2800+ also...

anyone planning on overclocking with this motherboard? I plan on taking my 3000+ @ 2.0ghz to at least 2.2ghz on a Thermaltake Venus12 cooler
