MSI says Available in May 2004 according to their website. It's now the middle of May and I still don't see it available anywhere. :roll:

I ordered the MSI K8N Neo Platinum a week ago and after a bit of a delay I think it's going to be out by the end of the week. As i'm in the UK, i'm sure the USA will eb ahead or at least the same.

The msi new looks sweet but persoanlly im waiting for a di board..but its driving me crazy waiting cuz i got a new chip, vid card, case, and ram but no a64 board. Im seriousyl checking newegg about every other minute of the day. At the end i think i rather wait and have a good board rather than a board thats realeased and has tons of problems.

I am in the same situation as you -- just dying to upgrade to an nf3-250 based board. Think if this though: even if boards are released to the retail channel *today*, how long will you have to wait to find out which boards are good or bad? A month or so????

My solution to this problem: buy the chaintech vnf3-250 (about $90) and then wait until the dust settles and a really nice nf3-250 board is available. Gives you time to really wait and see what board will be the best...might even give you time to wait for a killer rev2 board....

I noticed that NewEgg has a Gigabyte NF3 250 board available now also. It looks decent enough.

I had the Chaintech board but couldn't get RAID working so I returned it.

i was thinking about gettting a refurb msi neo ifsr (icnat remember the product) but i really want to upgrade once so i just gotta format once and since im watercooling its a pain in the butt to mount my waterblock so its perfectly even otherwise my temps with rise 5-8c above what i should be getting. But since the boards are so cheap right now and i looks like it may take some time for the dust to settle, buying a cheaper board right now looks like a good option. But then again after the dust settles on 754 we'll all want to upgrade to socket 939. Decisons! Decisons!

I couldn't wait for MSI Neo and got the Gigabyte NF3 250 (GA-K8NS PRO) .

Looks like he bought it off a UK website and im wondering the same thing so i have an idea how much its retailing for

Bought it from dabs.co.uk and after numerous delays theyve turned around anf told me it'll be another month. So I cancelled my order and i'll wait and see if ABIT release a board anytime soon. The only reason I was going to go MSI was because it was due to be the first good board released (Chaintech one sucks), and now that it's delayed, i'll see if something betetr comes along. Shame though. My A64 3200+ needs a home.

I have never had one, but the simple fact that it uses the god awful Sil3114 PCI to Serial ATA controller is enough to put me off for life. Plus from what I can see and reports ive read it's more lacking in features, options, and overclockability compared to the MSI.

One not consider the Chaintech vnf3-250 -- yes, the Chaintech Znf3-250 is expensive and is lacking in native nforce3-250 features. The vnf3-250 is cheap ($90), uses nforce3-250 native Sata and ATA controllers. -- only thing "missing" is the Gbit lan/firewall. For most home users the Gbit lan is utterly wasted. I went with the vnf3-250 plus an a64-3200+; I figure I will wait at least 3 months (or more) and wait until the fully mature nforce3-250Gb boards are reviewed...
