I did make another thread afew days ago on the same board but it was the platinum. Not sure if its the exact board just with fewer add-ons. But this is the last issue on my mind so I just wanna be 100% sure I picked the right board. I'm going to get an Antec 550W PSU so that will be enough power for this sucker since this board is a power hog. Thats the only thing I heard/read is if theres not enough power going to it then it wont be that stable. If there is a better board for close to the price then I'll love to take a look. But this board is everything I wanted so I kinda wanna keep it but still not have any problems. Thank you everyone!

I have had that board in my first build for about 6 months now. It fired up first time without any issues and is extremely stable. Not so much as a hiccup. Have a 3000+ winchester with OCZ Performance memory (2 x 1 GB). Also a EVGA 660GT. Good all round machine. go for it. Wayne

i dunno where you read that this mobo needs a lot of power but its been fine for me since Aug. got it up and running and the first thing i did was oc the crap out of my venice and has been stable ever since. see sig for my system.

the plat and this mobo are basically the same just this one has one less gigabit ethernet and no firewire, you can use the plat bios on this mobo too. i have tried before and no problems. i highly recommend this board.
