Well, I am happy with my system since everything seems to run OK.
The big problem is that I can not pass Prime for more than 2 hours, and that's without overclocking. I don't know if it is the board or the chip. Don't know if it is worth trying to overclock.

I finished setting my system up last night. I have v 1.1 of the bios. I will try Prime this weekend and see what I get. Jim, my chipset fan seems to be quiet; I haven't isolated the fans yet, but it isn't noticably loud. Also, we have similar systems; I'll see what kind of benchmarking results I get. Other than a problem with my video drivers ("can't find wf2kcpl.dll" when Windows starts up) everything's working fine.

Has anyone tried the Core Cell utility?

care to post your memory and cpu settings? i have a pretty similar setup with the exception of the processor (3000). You said you had ocz ram, but which kind? i have the EL platinum rev 2 (2-2-2-5 timings). Anyway, built the computer last night and everything went smoothly with the exception of me leaving my software binder at a client so i was unable to install windows xp or any other software.

Anyway, if you care to share your settings i would appretiate it.

TIA

Hey kindest that seems promising. Can you give us your settings and let us know what kind of memory you have. I went with OCZ Gold Series because it will allow me to push better voltage through it and it has low latancy. I should get all the rest of my parts today so I can start it tonight.

On all the 6600GTs there appears to be a single small capacitor that may interfere without modifying the NB47J.

Did you ever get an answer to this? I want to put this mobo into an HTPC case with a 6600GT. Woudl like to swap out the chipset fan for the Zalman NB47J as well but am unsure about fitment.

My board doesn't seem to do anything if I put something in the "Adjust CPU Vid" field to raise the voltage. No matter if I set it to 1.4 or 1.55, it still reports 1.4V.
Thats if I leave the CPU Voltage field set to "By CPU Vid". If I change it to +5%, then it does seem to take the Adjust CPU VID into account. Anyone else notice this, or is this how its supposed to work?

This is my set up:

Turbo Case X-Dreamer II (black)
Athlon 64 3200+ 90nm
MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum SLI
1GB OCZ EL Platinum Rev. 2 PC3200
2xBFG 6800GT OC PCI-E [SLI READY]
Antec NeoPower 480W PSU
Samsung 52X CD-R/RW (black)
120GB Maxtor SATA

The weird thing is SLI will NOT work I have everything connected perfectly, but I cannot enable multi-GPU in the display properties.

To make things even more strange, I changed the selector to non-SLI, plugged in one of my 6800GTs and I get no video. I swapped to my second card, and still no video The only way I can get video is with the selector on SLI, both cards connected, and the bridge on top (but it's not actually running SLI)...or is it?). Then in the properties it says I only have one 6800 series GPU connected (when there should be two) and that it's running at x8 speed. Is it supposed to be detected as 2 different cards?

Is it possible that SLI is enabled, but it doesn't show it in WinXP? The cards power up fine, they have their own power cables, and the fans move/green light is on.

My monitor has been acting very strange, so I'm going to RMA it on Monday. Could it be the cards?

Man.....my DFI SLI will be here on Wednesday, so I might need to RMA the MSI board (I don't want to, but what can I do?)

HELP! :brokenheart:

Evolution i would prefer a OCZ Powerstream 520 and above.

the neopower is a dual rail psu... so on 1 rail there is too much amperage wasted on the cpu. which doesnt give the 2nd rail enough amperage for both video cards. i think its 18a for rail one which is the cpu etc.. and the 2nd rail is about 15a which is for the video cards etc...

this problem was posted back in asus thread from what i remember. i know that single rail psu's work the best with sli systems from what i hear.
