MSI K8N Neo4 + OCZmodstream450 reboot problem,

Anyone have a K8N Neo4 Platinum w/ an OCZ modstream 450?

I just installed the ocz (was using another psu). Afer I shutdown the computer, when I turn it back on, it posts fine, but at the very last step before the windows starts, the system shuts off, the power LED blinks slowly. The only way to get it back on is to unplug power for 10 secs (the LED eventually shuts off), it then boots normally. It's only after I use shutdown.

Did it run fine with the other PSU? What kind was it? You got the 24pin and 4 pin connected? If the other PSU worked fine then it should def be the modstream for some reason. Heard MSI boards was picky with some power supplies including OCZ(powerstream series) and Antec.

Where did you hear that Sniper? I'm trying to decide why I keep getting bsods and I'd like to know if the PSU might be the culprit.

Hmm... The other PSU was out of a Dell which was a 24pin 350, and it seemed to work just fine. I have the 4pin + 20pin connected. Everything seems fine on first boot, just shutdown restart that it kicks off. ugh.

Elfear, are the only problems you're having are the bsods?

Elfear, are the only problems you're having are the bsods?

No, I'm having probs getting this board to be consistent. I've gotten it to boot into Windows at a 360MHz fsb and than other times it won't boot at 288MHz I think a new bios will solve the issues though.

I haven't had problems that seem to indicate the PSU... just the known issue with Maxtor hard drives :/ (thank God for BIOS betas... and shady people in forums who know how to get ahold of them ^_^)
