Large motherboard manufacturers buy capacitors by the millions.
It's not like MSI went down to Capacitors-R-Us and said, "hey, give me
some of those cheap-ass ones that leak after 6 months. They're .001 cents
cheaper per capacitor, right?"
A supplier of capacitors had a quality problem a while back. It hit many of
the major card manufacturers, and not just PC motherboards.
I certainly agree that a good company should stand behind its product and make
good on these bad cards. However, MSI, Abit, and Asus were victims of a bad
capacitor manufacter. They did not intentionally put crappy capacitors on their cards.
