MSI NForce Network problem

still having a wierd network card problem with my nforce..i connect to my ISP with the built in lan and it takes foreveer to connect and once i do itwont let me connect to ICQ, internet explorer sites, get email or anything. but if i poip in my firnds network card its just like normal..fast fast fast! i updated the BIOS to the latest and greatest but still have that problem. can anyone help?

what about the latest nForce chipset drivers? did you install those? what is your OS?

i have the same board, been using it for various test in the shop, and it has been connected to kazza downloading for the past 2 weeks. occasionally, winXp gives "network cable unplugged" message, but this doesnt seem to interrupt net traffic. the onboard network is working fine here other than that weirdness (if anyone has any tips for the XP message, feel free to post also!)

im using XP. i have a tbird 900, 256megs of pc 2100 and im using the onboard video...which i just heard if im using 2 memory sticks id get better performance from...too bad ram is so expensive

yeah i'm using the onboard video w/ 2 sticks of crucial pc2100 on the MSI K7N board, too. i downloaded the drivers from nvidia and installed those (it has a 1700XP winXP home, teac 24x cdrw, and liteon 16x dvd).
