msi r9 280x gaming

i just bought the msi r9 280x gaming graphics card.. my desire was to get a r9 290, but i did not want to raise my electric bill....anyhow...anyone here have the msi r9 280x, and give me some thoughts on it...

you should have gotten an r9 290. Unless you play 24/7, the difference in electricity bill isn't much. I think there's only a 50w difference between a 280x and a 290. If you were to play 8 hours a day, it would cost you about $2 more a month. LOL.

Anyhow, the msi 280x is quiet. However, I have had the fans fail on 2 of my msi 280x. It's good. It just isn't 290 good.

It just stopped spinning. I think the fans seized up and the gpu temperature shot thru the roof.

i tryed to cancel order from buy.com...cannot do..i bought through best buy marketplace.....probably going to be a hassle

i got the amd r9 290 in my rig now, paid $260...guy said he built a computer and guy did not pay for it...it looks new...i can tell things a quicker now than the r9 270x
