Getting a HIS MIR seems quite unlikely from what I've read. A few people get theirs and a bunch don't.

My HIS rebate came in today (mailed off on 7/6). I did choose to do fast processing at at cost of $2, though.

I bought an MSI 4890 back on April 11th of this year, and finally got my $20 rebate from MSI today in the mail. The check was issued on the 7/23, and I just now (8/4) received it in Seattle Wa.

I got my card from the Ewiz (Superbiz) deal here incase anyone is curious:

Now that I have my rebate the 4890's final cost is $183... $215 original - $20 rebate - $12 MS Cashback.

i think i missed it but i'm not sure, when I ordered mine (7/8) there was nothing on the site about a free game but i feel like someone mentioned free games being part of this deal at some point. Should I put in a call to someone or leave it be?

You have to check back and see what games were offered along with which deals. A few of us received 4890 GPUs from ZZF without the promised games. When we called and made them aware of this, they shipped replacements that were of a higher caliber than those we didn't get.

YMMV but I would think it is worth the phone call if you want the games.

For those who have the MSI 4890 OC (R4890-T2D1G OC), I have the bios update that fixes the blanking out problem with some Dell lcd's (ie 2408WFP). Just PM your email and I'll send it.

Go back 1 page and there's mention of the "blanking out" issue with Dell 2408WFP lcd's (and perhaps others). Discussed on several other sites in detail (including Dell).

This apparently was a bug with ALL 4890's (way to go Ati/Amd).

Original purchase date was six weeks ago so that is excellent for getting a rebate back.

What bios did you use to fix it? I used a later revision of the XFX and modded it to the stock MSI clocks. Anything different for you?

The updated "v103" of the MSI VBIOS is dated 06/29/09 (my original "v102" bios was dated 03/18/2009).

I flashed it and haven't noticed anything different (but haven't done much). Btw I used ATI WinFlash to load the new vbios (download).

I did upload the new vbios to TechPowerUp so they can add it to their database.
