MSN holiday Rebate deal!!!!!!!

I am so F**K pissed!!!!
I have placed an order through MSN with MPSuperstore.
on a digital camera.
and it was over $500, so I should be getting a $100 rebate from MSN
but, it's been over a month, my rebate status on MSN still shows $0
I have chat with MSN rep. more than 3 times, they always say they'll get back to me.
and I have called MP superstore. I even spoke with their manager David.
I still got no feed back, basiclly nobody even know what to tell me.
David at MP superstore told me that my order doesn't qualify for the rebate.
because it was placed on 12/9/2001. but the offer didn't end until 12/2001, right?
and he can explain to me why I don't quality, he just want me to call MSN.
does anyone have the same problem as I do?????

I'm sorry that you are having a hard time, glad that you got to vent and hope that you feel better after that BUT the moderators have been kind enough to provide us with a permanent thread in Hot Deals titled "Brag & Moan". I can tell you'd probably not seek the correct way to solve your problem since you don't care where to place your moan! This forum is for HOT DEALS, dude!

Anyway, why don't you just return your camera? Most respective retailers extend the return period during the holiday season. Return you cam and get your money back.

Nope, it was on the list. But they were pulled early i think....

MPSuperstore was included in the promotion initially. However it didn't stay till the end (which should be 20/12).

MPSuperstore has left the promo about 10 days earlier than the deadline...

I know, because I was planning to buy a camera from them w/ the MSN rebate and I was pissed off when I saw that they left early...

FYI - I placed an order for a Compaq 3835 with MPSuprestore through the MSN promotion on 12/11 and had no problems with them reporting or posting the transaction with the MSN Holiday Reward program.

I understand what you mean. I bought a Nikon N65 from Ritzcamera on 12/20/01 and my wife bought a Nikon 995 form Ritzcamera on 12/20/01. I have not got an email confirmation from MSN. I called Ritz and they said I did the order just fine with the Passports but they were behind in processing. I also emailed the MSN people and got nothing so far. Looks like I will be out about $180. Not sure who is to blame here but someone dropped the ball.

I placed an order via Ritz camera also. Just had a chat with MSN rep (online) and here is what she said:

Me: I placed order with Ritz Camera, but haven't received my MSN rebate yet
Rep: Once MSN Tallies all your Qualifying Transactions after the Promotional Period ends, you'll receive an email notification from MSN stating your total reward amount. MSN will send out this final email in the altter part of January, and you will have 45 days to claim your reward. Claiming the check witll entail visiting a web site (the address will be provided in the email) and providing your email address. Once you provide us your contact information you will receive your check within 30 days.
Rep: Is there anything else we may assist you with today?
Me: no that'd be all
Me: Thank you.
Rep: Thank you for inquiring about MSN eShop Passport Express Purchase program.

now it seems like they are giving a scripted answer to everyone, so I guess the only choice is to wait till end of month and then proceed from there. If it doesn't show up either MSN is gonna get ripped or Ritz camera.

When I recieved a reply from MSN after purchasing a product, I got an email that included the following...

"If you qualify for a reward, instructions for claiming your reward check will be sent by email in late January after the close of the Promotion.

Please note that returns made during or after the end of the promotional period may decrease the total amount of your reward."

I might not be in the same situation as everyone, but it seems we shouldnt be screaming for our checks just yet.

I have talk to so many different rep, and managers.
none of them can provide me with and good help!!!!
they just keep turning me to different people.
or just want me to wait. MSN even told me there is not time frame,
when I will receive the rebate notice!!!!
that's false ad.!!!! We are not getting what they have posted
on the website!!! and they are not providing any assistant!
can't even answer a simple question.
I think we should all get together, and starting to send e-mail to
MSN, at least once a day....until we get some kind of feed back.
We should all send the same copy of the e-mail!!! so, they would
know we want some kind of feed back!!!!
