Oh, Paris HILTON.

I thought it was some anchor who hated France and didn't want to do a story about something in Paris.

Possibly but it certainly appeared as though her 2 male counterparts were getting under her skin when they kept tweaking her about it.

If anyone was in on this, it would've been the producer for giving it to her as the lead again.

But the producer dictating how his own show goes, what a novelty eh?

I'd have snapped their heads off.

The Paris Hilton news segment would have been over a lot sooner had the news woman not complained so much about it.

Beside, people want to ear about Paris Hilton. Whats wrong with that? She is a diversion for millions of people INCLUDING all who posted in this very thread.

?? why the hell would that be staged? that'd be the dumbest "stage" ever.

it wasn't staged... it's dumb to assume so.
It reeks of a scripted bit, including the acting. This is apparently MSNBC's newest attempt at replacing the Imus show. Never seen it, but it looks like they want to hang on to some of Imus' old audience, to prove that they're "different" and a little bit irreverant (but not too dangerous), they don't conform to the cable news anchor as a prompter-reading automaton, blah blah blah. Not to mention they repeated this stunt 3-4 times, at the beginning of every hour.

It reeks? You must have lots of experience with acting, right? Lots of stage appearances? I thought I recognized your name from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.

Ahahahaha!

Zbignew's daughter and former Hartford reporter done good.

My impression is that it was loosely scripted and mostly ad-libbed, but everyone still knew what was going to happen.

If only more newsreaders had the guts to break out of their prefabricated roles. I can't hardly watch newscasts because of the sickly-sweet happy face spin they put on the news.

I don't understand the hatred. Paris Hilton provides a positive image and role model for many people. She embodies the image that many people enjoy--she embodies what matters to the viewers and provides a role model that many people can only aspire towards (materialism and popularity without substance). Why hate the truth?

Paris should have been pardoned because she offers so much. At the very least she deserves an honorary medal from the dub.

A national treasure at the very least.
