Just had a burst of calls from 3 different unconnected clients that have all developed the exact same issue seeming out of nowhere. They'd been used Outlook (2016) right along today and then Outlook closed and so far has refused to open again without crashing.
When opening Outlook, it brings up the normal opening profile screen and then disappears. Event viewer logs it as eventID1000 with the following info:

I looked into the directory this dll file is suppose to be in and don't see any dll files (even with hidden files exposed and system files revealed). Quick and online repairs of Office aren't able to fix the issue, Outlook in safemode crashes as well. I'd also pushed for office to check for updates (through word). None of the users have done any update installations lately (no shut downs or restarts). I was able to connect to two of the users remotely and the latest update for one of them was from July 8th.
So far I've found a few old posts about people having issues with Outlook crashing due to mso98win32client.dll but nothing I've come across explains how these unconnected users are all experiencing the same issue at the same time. Anyone else caught wind of anything like this going on?
