Is it possible to download 2-3k WU's on a CD, bring them to a computer with a SETI QUEUE, dump them somewhere on that computer so that the queue knows they are availalble, then have that queue serve them up to all the computers in the lab? And then periodically copy uploaded results onto a CD, bring them to a queue at home, and upload the results?

Use your existing Q. Edit user.ini found inside User.XXXXXX subdirectory and change the line User/Insane to TRUE. (You need to admit your truly insane for it to work effectively) Restart your Q, login and change the Override Max found in the Queues section to whatever amount you wish. After it filled the Q, change it to disable auto transmit completed workunits and disable download workunits. Stop the Q, burn the copy of the entire SETIQUEUE subdirectory.

Take it to the place and copy the entire subdirectory to the computer you wish to run the Q. Make certain that the files are NOT SET TO READ ONLY before starting the Q. Then when you feel like dumping, you need to stop the Q, burn a copy, take it to a computer that is connected to internet, and copy the Q to this computer. (Remember to check if the files are set to READ ONLY, if so, change them) Run the Q, login, change it to enable transmitting of workunits and downloading of workunits. When the Q is filled up again and all the workunits transmitted, stop the Q, burn a copy to CD and take it back.

Now the entire process works best if you use isos@hawaii.rr.com in at least one of your computer

Me too but with JSETIDoor.
With JSETIDoor, you only need to copy the WUs from home to work and the results from work to home.

All I have been moving with Setiqueue is the individual Queue folders and then the results themselves. I just paste into the appropriate folder(user???? for the queue/client for the results) and then restart setiqueue.

I zip up the results and email them to myself at home. The WU's I bring in on CDRW's they hold about 2500 zippped .

This can be done, I would have never figured it out, but Reagan has it going and it only takes about 15 minutes each CD.
