I believe that this is the first time that a 16GB kit of DDR3-1600 has dropped below $50 no-rebate price. (*)

(*) Edit: I mean, from a legit company. I bought a 4x4GB kit of DDR3-1600, cheap Chinese non-name RAM. It didn't work in my FM1 rigs. It was advertised as "AM3 only". Haven't tried it in an AM3 rig.

The Mushkin brand somehow implanted in my brain many years ago tagged as a quality brand. However, my single experience of buying their RAM suggests the opposite. In my experience they will send you RMA replacement items that have not been tested and may well as bad if not worse than the originals. Carefully read the reviews of Mushkin memory on NewEgg and make your own mind up.

Hrm, doesn't sound good. I've got some of the Mushkin brand ram that I suspect is not working at the advertised 1.35V. Seems to be working fine at 1.4V, but not 1.35. Need to run an actual memtest but won't have time to do it until 2 months from now. I hate to RMA stuff...
