Mushkin makes arguably the best RAM. Really runs at the stated frequency/settings as well as requires much less voltage than some other sticks of RAM. They seem to have a pretty good warranty as well.

yup. I have 2x512 of Corsair XMS PC3500 for ~$215 in the FS forums. Don't think I'd see a difference as much as I'd see a difference of $85.

but then again, mushkin charges $209 for just one 512 stick of this stuff on their site, so newegg's price is considerably less.

this is a great price for this ram. i bought the Level 1 for 270 3 months ago.

Mushkin frequently has specials posted on the weekend. check then for a possible discount. also, call them and ask the receptionist if they are having any specials. she gave me a 10% off code when i asked.

Where as I always run my XMS PC2700 2.5CL RAM at 2-2-2-5 always. Of course at 2700 speed. So why is Mushkin better than corsair? I dont really see any reason.

Gotta put in my two cents here. I have 4 sticks of the 256meg version. Got it from Newegg in a timely fashion as usual. This ram is very fast. I have my 3.2 PIV at 3.5 with the bus speeds syncd at 220. Very fast and stable. I ran memtest on it at 2-5-3-2 where the memory is really specd at for 3 days straight. If you read Mushkin's web site carefully you will see this mem is not guaranteed to run 2-5-2-2 on Intel 865/875 chipsets. It will not run on my Abit IS-7 at 2-5-2-2. It will produce errors in test #7. I also had problems getting it to post with all four sticks installed. I had to install 2 and up the v-core to 2.8v and manually adjust the timings to 2-5-3-2, repost, shutdown and install the second set of memory. Viola 220 at 2-5-3-2 no GAT all day long. Hits over 5K in Sandra. I am happy and poor.
Final words I guess are, awesome ram but not for the beginner as it can be fussy to get it going if you are not savvy.

I've heard great stuff about this RAM too, plus, at the time I posted it the price dropped from $315 to $299. Can't argue with that!
