Muhkin special today - free (2nd day) shipping. Between that and the tweakmeister special, it brings the Rev 2 128's down to $93 delivered.

So, now I need to choose amongst that, the Crucial CAS2 @ $77.39 delivered, or the Kingmax PC150 @ $73 delivered (from Premier, who has free ship for 4 or more). So, anyone have experience with these and/or suggestions (FWIW, I'm somewhat interested in overclocking (for a T-Bird using a KT133A board, when they become available ), but likely not beyond 150).

Get the MUSHKIN. Yes, it's more $$$, but you will get the BEST customer service there is in the business. Hey, my last order even contained a box of "rev.3 High Performance" mints!

RobsTV:

In your first link...all of these test were performed on a KT chipset MB which do not OC well at all. max FSB is about 108-115, maybe slightly more, depending on the manufacturer. MY KT7 is running 115 MHz FSB. There's no way to truly stress the ability of most high memmory modules on a KT board...the chipset normally craps out before the memmory. The mem bandwidth's for the tinyBGA's are indeed impressive but I have achieved better scores with both Mushkin Rev 1.5 and Mosel Rev2...but I doubt those scores are the best the kingmax stuff can do either.

Kingmax tinyBGA is some sweet stuff...but, For the same price (67.50 for 128 sticks) you can get some mosel rev2 from jkdude or Skorp1Gee in the F/S forum for the same price....this stuff will do 160 2-2-2 and in many cases can get up to 166 2-2-2, may be higher.

I just bought some mosel rev2 from jkdude...but as I already said, my FSB won't go above 115 which only gives me 153 2-2-2 on my mosel rev2. What's funny it that the mushkin rev1.5 that I have (and replaced w/ the mosel) runs 153 2-2-2 perfectly stable as well. Makes sense... the rev1.5 and mosel rev2 use the same mosel 7ns chips...the traces on the rev2 are supposed to be improved.

I think that the bottom line is that as long as you're going with the name brand stuff, you will not get a bad stick. Heck, the Memory Man stuff is pretty good also. I have a stick of their Cas2 PC100 and it is pretty darn good. Now I've got a stick of 256MB PC133 Crucial Cas2, that's some pretty sweet stuff.
Opinions are like #ssholes, everyone has one. Take your pick here and you will probably end up with a decent stick of RAM. I've found that in RAM, you usually get what you pay for.

I am using cheap generic sticks with my Abit KT7. Could any of you that have any of the sticks listed here post the chips info as I've done below? Real life numbers are what matters. It would be interesting to see how my generic PC133 compares to what miniMUNCH is using, since we both have similar motherboards. Also, while the KT7 does have a limitation of how high you can push the FSB, the added setting of FSB+PCICLK is what the memory is concerned with, as miniMUNCH has shown. 153MHz at Cas2 sounds great.

You can download Motherboard Monitor version 5 or newer (free).
Get Motherboard monitor
It gives details about your memory. Click settings/system info, then chip icon.

For example, here is what my generic 128meg, PC133 stick, shows with FSB at 110, and memory running at FSB+PCICLK or 146MHz, and Cas2 in Bios. Duron 600@935MHz.

Module banks 2
Cycle time@Cas2= 7.3125
Sdram Access= 5.25
Banks on each= 4
Cas supported= 2,3
Min Clock X-1= 10
Max data X-1= 6
Min Row Pre= 20
Min Row Actice= 15
Min Ras to Cas= 20
Min Ras Pusle= 45
Module Bank Density= 64
Module total density= 128
Speed= 133

Another good free test for comparing memory speed is Sandra.
Download Sandra
Sandra memory test results for generic PC133 @ 146MHz
The above system scores:
ALU/Memory Bandwidth 524 MB/s
FPU/Memory Bandwidth 632 MB/s

Also, the links I posted prior show the Kingmax beating out Mushkin.
Can someone point to links the say otherwise? It's one thing to say, "Great", but try to back it up with links that directly compare the chips if you can. I have neither chip, but just want to make the best choice on my next purchase, and contrary to what most say here, looks like Kingmax is best. Please correct me with links to facts.

I likewise dont have either, but the new Mushkin rev3 @150 is 222. Outperforms their 150, but much more expensive. And as far as links, havent you learned yet in life that there will always be data to support what one believes. Dont read too much. I seriously doubt that anyone could say anything BAD about Kingmax or Mushkin, crucial, or OCZ for that matter. If your only purpose in owning a computer was to run tests on your ram, then I think your missing the bigger picture
