this makes me mad that alot of people are embarrassed by the music they listen to...we are made to feel bad by these people who run around worshipping the crap that Radiohead puts out...just because the music we like is formulaic...I really don't see any merit in listening to music just because it is innovative or creative even...I like music that sounds good to me, and it just so happens that I like the teeny bopper tunes...it is not to say I am restricted to them...I just resent the fact that people who like teeny bopper/pop music even are frowned upon by these "self-proclaimed music conneiseurs" who think by listening to radically different music forges them an identity in some way. Those people need to realize that a person is not the music he/she listens to.
I also listen to country music too. I'm not going to say "I love country and proud of it," but rather I'm secure enough to enjoy my music without any guilt.

Yeah it sucks but, I was the only dude that loved Duran Duran back in middle school back in the mid 80's. I was very popular with the little girls though, and no I did not dres like them but, I did go to all of their concerts and sported the concert jersies which is less than I could say for most of my peers at the time...they weren't allowed to even goto concerts back then. I can also say that the Duranies were definitely one of the best bands of their time and their bassist (John Taylor) couldn't be beat.
