"must have" 360 titles this year?

getting a 360. What are some "must have" titles out there?

I was hoping Guitar Hero II would be out soon but apparently not. and they nerfed the wireless controller too

I will be getting Gears of War, Forza, and maybe PGR3. I want Forza 2 when it comes out...but otherwise I don't really know what is out there.

I like party games - I have my gamecube for supermonkeyball - any 360 games like that?

I am not a halo fan, I like RPG's - but have oblivion for the PC. Sports games meh - i usually pickup the "last year's titles' for cheap - I don't play them enough to justify lots of money for them.

Try a tactical shooter like GRAW, R6:Vegas or the new splinter cell.

Also the wrastlin game is supposed to take advantage of nextgen consoles but you kinda have to have kids or be into wwe yourself.

Table Tennis is fun, and you should be able to pick it up pretty cheap.

You can play Forza on the 360.

As for party games, check out XBox Live Arcade Games like Small Arms.

Yeah forgot Dead Rising. I hear many people buying the 360 just for that game.

Something to be aware about regarding Dead Rising:

Do a Google search for: Dead Rising issues

I bought the game, the minute I put the disc in, I get a disc unreadable error. Then I did a search on Google and found all these issues. Called Capcom and MS - no good answer out of either... Capcom says its a MS issue, MS says its a Capcom issue.

I was finally able to get the game to play if I take out my 360 hard drive. Also, if you save to a memory card you can play it, but be aware of the issues many many people have with that single game only.

I'm not a big FPS fan on the console....give me a trackball and keyboard any day...

I have GRAW for the pc - so wont be buying it for the 360. And i dont like Halo -the game just never did anything for me.

Dead Rising like RE:4 basically? Saints Row i think ive heard of it...been out of the console gaming loop so long!

And wasn't Forza re-released for the 360 with HD support?

Dead Rising is completely different than RE4.

Dead Rising is more like a cross between Resident Evil and Dynasty Warriors, with a little bit of Grand Theft Auto and Chrono trigger's New Game + Save system. if you have to compare it to other games

The game has you going around doing missions, or saving survivors, or you can do completely nothing and only kill zombies for the 3 days (in game time) that you have to survive in the mall.

It's a great game, go get it.

Ehhhh...kinda sort of in the sense that there are zombies. Beyond that it is using anything available at hand to beat zombies into a bloody pulp so that you can complete missions/rescue people.

Also might want to check out Viva Pinata. Kind of a Sims/Animal Crossing type game. I didn't think I'd like it at first but my son and I have had fun with it.

No. It was made backwards compatible and like all games that are made backwards compatible on the 360, HD upgrades were included.
