Must suck to be a 2dr Honda Civic owner and insure with State Farm...

Reading an article on the top stolen vehicles in the U.S. and they had a link to evaluate your and any vehicle for insurance risk and its associated premiums.

Took a look at Honda, out of curiosity, and DAMN!...the 2DR Honda Civic is really slammed by State Farm (the table is provided by State Farm Ins.)

The 2DR Honda Civic gets the highest surcharge for liability and collision/theft on premiums. Guess all those ricer-boys and their Civics have had quite an impact on insurance premiums.


Evaluate how your car rates on insurance costs.

Found on right side of page.....pick your manufacturer and all models show up with premiums and whether they're charged extra or discounted for liability and collision/theft insurance premiums.

Meh, my wife's corolla and my ranger don't fare too well on their chart either, but our premiums are still low.

Of course, we don't use State Farm.

Yeah, that list is pretty worthless for me.
And I dont have an "OLD" car. I have a 1996 Impala SS. I know it's 11 years old, but... they are highly sought after and I chose to buy this car instead of a new one. I am a Chevy guy, but they don't make a single car today that I would buy.

I have my Ranger insured with State Farm and it's still dirt cheap for full coverage. I shopped around and everybody else was a lot higher.

I've to thank the old folks for buying this car. Keeps the insurance down significantly.

I paid more to insure my 2001 Honda S2000 than my 2007 Corvette coupe. Crazy part is I now have the totaled S2000 on my record and the Vette is still cheaper! Vette is 6 years newer and worth more than double the S2000.
