HERE WE GO AGAIN:

- Mustangs pwnzorz

- No, Civics Pwnzorz

- No, riceburners FTL and Mustangs OWN

- OMGWTFNOWAI Civics FTW

- .....

"English motherf*****, do you speak it?"

Yes, and quite well I like to think.

I take it you didn?t quite see the angle I was coming from?

I wasn?t directly mocking you, but more so others from past events in similar threads.

Calm down.

I am calm it just helps to actually understand what people are saying. And besides, I wasn't claiming any particular one was better. Just that cars are cars and that the staple cars of this forum are just as common if not more common than mustangs.

Calm down

60s Mustangs FTW!

It seems like all the Mustangs on the road have been replaced with the new gen. It's like everybody simultaneously traded in. Lemmings! I'll stick with my 42 year old Rustang.

no doubt. the new retro mustang isn't that bad looking, but i'm getting really tired of seeing ALL of them with shelby stripes and hood scoops. i think they look better plain.

LOL

I think I know why people get those stripes and scoops. To make the lil ponies run faster! You know they must be taking their queues from the ricers.

Add a racing stripe or sticker, add 10hp
Add a ridiculous spoiler or other body appendage, add 25hp.

The beauty of Mustangs IMO is the gorgeous rumbly roar of that V8. If I had one, I'd put Flows on it too. Probably go catless and pull long hard downshifts any chance I could just so I could bask in its crackle-and-pop.

Oh yeah.

Otherwise, I'm not a big fan though, which is why I say that V6 Mustangs are an abomination against God.

700 RWHP Kenne Bell Cobras with independent rear that pull 9s 1/4 ETs and 1+ g skidpad aren't.

Ignore the haters, enjoy what YOU want and not what THEY want. Esp the snobby "if it isn't a BMW or Mercedes you cook fries for a living, even though I only have the cheapest bottom of the barrel BMW and live with my parents and shouldn't be talking" crowd.

Most of them will drive a 1990 3 series and act like it's a $100,000 car, then compare your $25k Mustang to a $100,000 2008 M5 and say your car sucks because they are jealous and can't afford *either* car. That or they are just total pansies that think you are a uncivilized brute if you drive something that burbles and roars when you get on the gas.

What is worse is they moan that American cars suck because they use pushrods, leaf springs, and solid rears. But give them an American car with 4V DOHC, Bilstein struts and coil springs, Brembo brakes and an independent rear, and they still scoff and turn their nose up just because its not a overrated BMW. Even better is that even without that, a car with leaf springs and pushrods regularly steals all the world records from Porsches and BMWs on their own road courses year after year for 1/4th the cost

Given the pussified snotty elitist leftist NY/CA mentality of most of AT, there is much hate for anything that doesn't say BMW or get 80 mpg.

Screw them and enjoy your new ride.

PS: BMW 3 series are a dime a dozen too. Just walk around any college campus and all you see are 318s, 325s, and 330s. Guess mommy couldn't afford anything with a M.

CAI, catback, 2.8" pulley, and dyno tune can gain over 100 horses at the wheels on a '03 Cobra that has almost 400 HP to the wheels stock. No joke.

The GT500 gains ~50 RWHP just from a intake and tune.

All blown 4V engines respond to mods very nicely. Positive manifold pressure eliminates the reliance on port velocity down low while taking full advantage of the additional breathing up high, and gives good mileage of a smaller engine when you aren't in boost. What more could you ask for?

I saw a gorgeous 67/68* Mustang convertible the other day. Jet black, all the chrome looked in perfect condition, and it looked like the interior was cherry too (the top was down). That's one of my favorite cars of all time. Classic stylish muscle.

* Can't be exactly sure what year it was, didn't get a good luck as I was driving at the time.

A month or two ago, my 80-someodd-year-old grandfather got a wild hair, and decided he wanted a convertible. When I went up to St. Louis for Father's day and my dad's birthday, there was a red, convertible Mustang in my parent's driveway

I guess grandpa really did like his original Mustang - 30-something years ago, he owned a red 1974 Mustang w/a black vinyl interrior; my mother ended up with it at some point. I remember riding in it. 30 years later, he goes out and buys a red convertible Mustang with a black interrior. Leather this time, though
