I must be getting close to dead because everybody wants to spam my mailbox with life insurance for the soon to be departed.

Got two today. One wants $100/mo for $25K in coverage. Yeah, right.

Mutual of Are You Insane wants $70/mo for $10K, but wait, there's MORE!!! They'll pay me back at age 120. Really? How many people live to 120? I pay them well over $30K over time and they give me $10K? Such a deal! Says it 'builds cash value' so maybe it'll be more than face value, but who knows?

And why do I want to give money away so somebody other than me can get it after I'm dead? I want money now, not then. They can get their own.

Then do a reverse mortgage. Money for you now, and less for any heirs.

Another consideration is that so called "high value" life insurance potentially renders one more valuable dead than alive!

OTOH I'm not sure what kind of "man" couldn't care less about leaving some kind of positive legacy if they had kids.

If the OP(who apparently hinted he had something terminal in a prior thread) doesn't want to enrich the ones he does not want to enrich, he better spend down everything he has or set up a trust to some beneficiary of his choosing.

The courts will make some money probating the estate otherwise, and probably Mr. State gets everything back from the OP is the absolute loner he has portrayed himself in the past.
