hey look at all the people bashing CoD!! and not a single new thing to say that hasn't been said a million times already!

i'm betting a lot of you were complaining about me complaining about BF series too.

How many BF games have been released the past 4 years and how many CoD games have been released in the same time-frame? Releasing a game that fast means there's hardly any time for innovation and as we know, there hasn't. It's the same game since CoD4 game out in 07, also they've been using the same engine since 05. If you love it more power to you but like I already said before, it's the Madden of FPS's.

I'm not talking about the games. i'm talking about the people who sit and say the same thing in every CoD thread and bash it. we've got 3 pages of people saying the same exact thing.

Never played Madden.

To me MW is an interactive movie, an action flick complete with punchy one-liners and none stop stunt man scenes. Like Die Hard or any popular action flick they just went on to produce one sequel after another. Such things don't add much to the technology or gameplay dynamics, but they do explore what is easy to do, looks OK on camera, and will grab your attention.

Not exactly a cutting edge special effects movie or Shakespeare, but good for a cheap thrill when you're bored.

ehh I really enjoyed the single player campaigns in the MW games and I'm sure I'll pick this one up too.

And this is coming from a salty old BF:1942 player. To each his own I guess.

Will say this - if I hated a franchise as much as some people in this thread seem to, I'm not sure I'd expend the effort to actually enter the thread, read comments, and then post something. If you hate MW that much, there's about 6000 other threads in PC Gaming for you.

the difference is, I posted it once.

you did it in the BC2 thread about 300 times, you can argue more if you want, but I posted a count in the BF3 thread when in came in there bitching about BC2, you dont see me in the BLOPS or MW2 thread posting the same hate over and over and over

just because you dont see the difference doesnt make it the same

It looks decent. I generally don't complain about graphics but it does seem like it's the exact same engine, character models and animations as MW2.

And I'm not sure how good this will be without so much of the original IW team. I probably won't buy it on release like MW2 and BO but will still get it sometime if it's good.

I really like the single player campaigns. They're a bit short, but intense. And the multiplayer is generally quite good too.

Of course now it's popular to be like "pfft cod sux, bf3 ftw" so you hear that a lot but really I don't consider them that similar. I finally bought BC2 recently and it's a great game but the singleplayer is nowhere near CoD quality and the multiplayer is great but quite different. I doubt BF3 will change that much, so as long as they are both good, I'll buy both.

I don't think I'll pick this one up but the graphics look fine to me. Maybe I need my eyes checked. I've always liked the single player of these games quite a bit but am not really a fan of the multiplayer (Battlefield series is what I love for multi). So for just single player, I'll pass.

Battlefield 3, on the other hand, will have me cumming as soon as I launch the game. DO WANT.
