But retail has games, i think Still a nice price though
I wouldn't be buying a sound card for the games.
Well then buy it because it's the best gaming card you can get.

One thing I just dont understand. Why a sound card is so expensive? Even CPU price is falling down so dramamtically. A big main board with many different controller chips is only $100, more or less.
I guess we all pay premium price for sound cards to creative. What do u guys think?

24/96kHz recording, soundfonts, etc. If you're looking for just a gaming sound card, then yes, this is fairly expensive, but at least you're not looking at the Audigy 2 ex platinum!
Not true. Creative doesn't officially support it, but they also say it works. The Live! Drive works perfectly fine with this card. You just won't get the front panel FireWare jack. I have a Live! Drive II and prefer it because it has full-size MIDI I/O jacks on it, unlike the newer ones that use the mini-DIN adapters.Originally posted by: huesmannNo.Originally posted by: ticoalu
will my old live drive from the SB live 5.1 platinum works with this one? (the one that comes with the remote control)

What are the real differences between the Audigy and the Audigy 2? I have a pair of Klipsch 2.1's and I am looking for something that will make them sound their best
