Mwave Barebones.. good deal ??

I was checking out Mwave.com and they have what seems to be a nice barebones deal. I think i had an athlon 1 ghz 256 pc133 ram and a Kt7 raid in it including an enlight case for about 500 $ no including shipping. I figure this way it saves me the trouble of having to mount the fan and risk breakin the cpu. I mean how much cheaper would doing it myself be ? Once thats in all i need to do is add an Hd for around 150 , a vid card for like 150, and a sb live, and im pretty much set with the system. this way ill still understand my system. I already have a dvd drive its only 6x but who needs faster right now , yah know ? and ihave a 8c cdrw drive. Thanks i appreciate the help ahead of time.

Verify that they do this for you, because to my knowledge they do not, they just send you those components as a bundle, saving you money. Email them, you'll get a quick response.

It's a good deal, relatively, but you might think of getting a KT7A and a Thunderbird 800 (they're out of 750s I believe) and try overclocking it to 1ghz or 933mhz.

Note: their heat sink/fan included isn't that great, I'd order that from another place like Inflow Direct.

i think that price works out pretty well, it has everything i want. yea ill email em to make sure that its all put in, if not it will work out to be cheaper anyway i think. ithink the price is pretty good considering it has more than enough that i need, and shipping is great ! for all that. id like top maybe bring the price to around 900 but wutever. Ill check if they asemble the barebones systems or not.

I just got my Tbird 900 combo from MWave last November. It's a very good deal indeed, because I was worried about installing the fan myself. Yes, the fan is installed for you along with the chip (memory is too). I'm still very happy with my system from them.

BTW, if interested I got the Soyo MB combo.

I snagged the Asus A7v, 1gig tbird combo from them a few months back.It comes pre-assembled cpu/hsf already installed on mobo which is already in the case.Decent deals at MWave.Got mine for about 500 also.

I've ordered 2 of their barebones tbird systems before too for friends, worked great and came totally assembled and supposedly tested too.

i've finished off 5 bare bones systems from mwave. 3 athlon and 2 p3.
they come assembled and tested and all 5 of mine worked great.
in my experience, they are a good company.
