SCISOFT SANDRA = memory cpu media
2000mhz 166fsb = 2576/2441 7511/3007 11156/11682
Drat spoke too soon, not stable at 2000, backed it down. I will have to play with a 200mhz FSB later when I have time.
Running fairly cool doing SETI, and passed PRIME95 Its under an ALPHA heatsink mounted on an ASUS Nforce2 MB. Corsair 3500 ram. I am using Enermax adjustable fans, this is even quieter than my old system
I am going to gradually take this 80 buck wonder up to 200 FSB and see how much closer I can get it to 2000 almost there now BTW its a retail chip from Newegg.
Thanks for all the good info in the forum guys. I don't get to upgrade all the time like some of you do This was a nice jump from my SOYO VIA XP 1700. One thing I have noticed is that the southbridge chip seems hot no matter if I am overclocking or not? Has anyone else noticed that too? I posted this earlier but no one replied
BTW my voltages are stock on the RAM & AGP, 1.75 the max on the processor's Vcore, I will be working as seeing if I can lowwer the Vcore as time goes by.
I just got my 1700+ Tbred A in the mail and I'm getting the same results as you: runs perfect @ 11.5 X 166, not stable @ 12X166 on an epox 8k5A2+. This is also at 1.75V (runs @ 1.79V actual). My motherboard gives me up to 2.2 vcore to work with, but I'm too much of a pu$$y to up it far over 1.8V ... I ran it at 1.8V, got it somewhat stable at 2.0 GHz but not enough to my liking (plus temps were >50C at load).
What temperatures are you running? Mine boots up at 36C, then slowly climbs up to 46C over the next hour and stays there. Even if I'm just surfing the web. If I play a game or run a demanding program, then it will get up to 46C a lot quicker, and stay there once again.

Question for u DanStp, when ur at 2ghz. How long it take you to complete 1 unit of seti@home? For my 1700+ @ 1.67Ghz(11x152) w/ nF2 it take me approx 20hrs to finish it.

1800+ here, AIUGA. 1900mhz (180x10.5) at 1.675v, been stable for the past day or so now. I'll try for higher today, anyone know the max safe voltage for T-Breds? Also, what should the very top ram setting be at? (the one that goes down to 1 and gets up to like 15 or 25). I have it at 5 and everything seems cool but I heard someone complain about HD corruption at that setting, should I be using a setting of 6 just to be safe??

are you running the command line version of seti? it looks like you're running the screensaver version. with your tbred, you should get times under 3 hrs or around 3 hrs.
Those are Palominos (DM) and Toroughbred A's (DL).Originally posted by: Goose77
doesnt Newegg have the new Tbred b's already?? aren't these the new B's AXDA1700DLT3C - AXDA1800DLT3C. i saw somewhere where the DM was A's and the DL were B's. Is this right or is someone blowing smoke up my a$$

Did you increase the ram v? And what ram setting ur at? Coz I can't get my 1700+TB go any higher than 155fsb(I don't go higher than 1.75v) on my leadtek nf2. I am sitting at 152fsb @ 1.6v btw.

Are there any Throughbred-B cores that will appear as lower clocked XPs? I bet a Thoroughbred-B 1800+ would overclock near 50%, which is the holy grail of overclocking in most situations. Good overclock though, I would really like to get at one of these.
