My 2x2 dilemma

RAM and mobo died last night and I have an E8400 coming in tomorrow. I'm heading to Fry's this afternoon to pick up a new mobo and RAM and I came in here looking for advice on a 2x2GB kit. Previously, I was running 2x1GB kit and I figured, hey, now's a good time to go 2x2GB...

Then I saw the timings and voltage ratings on these things 5-5-5-18, 5-5-5-13, @ 1.8v...

How much OC can I even get with these 2x2GB kits? Unfortunately, I need a system right away today because of things I need to take care of but will I be losing a lot of performance if I move on to a 2x2GB kit? Before I had 2x1 @ 4-4-4-12, 2.1v running Vista32. Seems kind of a waste of E8400 if I won't be able to OC much or at all.

I was looking at these, then I cringed at the specs...

Any advice?

What board are you looking at running it all on?

and another thing too that would allow you to run them just fine is the memory ratio's can allow you to run at 800 or close to it while overclocking the FSB

I'm running a 1500mhz (375 mhz quad pumped) FSB and have my memory set up for 667mhz. I haven't noticed any hit than if i'm running 1:1 ratio really and it lets me run my memory at *my* preferred sweet spot - i got a 650i which does allow me to use more dividers

Probably along the lines of IP35 Pro or The Gigabyte DS3... really depends what Fry's will give me as a replacement. If they say take this ECS or die in a fire, then well... I may be SOL.
