My 3400/3500 debate?

even if you get a nforce3 skt 939 board, people are going to be jumping ship to get the nforce4 board which is coming out in q4 04 / q1 05...

Do you know exactly what features N4 will contain? I heard it wasn't much of an upgrade.

They offer dual gpus in the PCI-E lanes. Soundstorm onboard. I would believe that they are going to be DDR2 only? If so I wouldn't be interested in this board. Plus, I need a computer now.

And getting a cheap one isn't to my liking, because the money I spend on a budget would be better spent towards a high end. In other words, it would be a waste of mula.

It's going to be several months before we get there, however. And we are talking about very exclusive products - available only to buyers with sufficient money to spend. The message for everyone else is that PCI components will still be available for years to come and the AGP isn't suddenly going to become obsolete.

Ouch, totally wrong. There`s only one review out now - a user review by Trans Am who is member of this forum, he reviewed it when the BIOS was at 1001. Bios @ 1004 now makes it like a totally different board. How else would it explain my 25% overclock @ 1.50 volts, hmmm?

Well dippo I did post at the MSI forums, and provided extended and comprehensive testing done off my own back to substantiate my findings. And unless you have trouble reading, a very large majority of people who have purchased the MSI Neo Platinums have had many major oissues, I personally know four people that have bought one, and three of them cannot get above 225mhz FSB with any BIOS, and their components are all quality and have been tested to well over 250Mhz FSB. The build quality of the board is also shoddy, but then again it doesn't take a genius to come to that conclusion, just use your fricken eyes. I have been over at the MSI forums for a good few months and even the moderators there agree the MSI K8T Neo Plat has problems. So before you open your virtual mouth its best to stay informed, eh?

As for Anandtech's reviews, I didn't say he sells out, I said they likely send him the cream of the crop to review, big difference.

If I bash a company it is for a reason, and I know my sh|t on this issue so if you want to come back with an argument start by knowing what you're talking about, it will undoubtedly be a big help.

I'm glad btw, that you avoided to comment about your acussal of Anand getting "rigged" boards to review.

If you go and read reviews from people who have bought the Neo2 then you'll see they love it.

BTW again, I've been on those forums on MSI about the Neo2 and I see no bashing, so link me up falsifier.

Christ. Firstly, we're talking about the Neo1 not the Neo2. Secondly, MSI have deleted a large majority of the threads that were made slamming the compan, it is very strict over there. You obviously have hardly ever been to the forums so how the frick can you know?

EDIT - And wtf are you talking about my refusal to comment on Anand "rigging" reviews, I said he gets sent the cream of the crop, like most reviewers, which is not always representative of what the consumer will buy. Are you just trying to prove some bizarre and inexplicable point by talking cack?
