my 3d animated movie

I started making this short animated movie about a year ago when I was first starting out in 3d animation. I finally got it hosted online and would love to hear any opinions, reviews, suggestions, comments. Thanks.

That sucks. Try selecting quicktime as your playback format, if you haven't already. I have the best luck with that over my measly modem.

It's cool! But the only thing I don't like is when he starts flying and the music suddenly changes to that cheesy stuff......to me it would've worked better if it stayed with the guitar. Just my opinion.

hey man great movie. are you going to school for this or did you do it in your free time? I do agree that the music changing when he jumps sucks, cause that fish bowl song is cool. Otherwise, nice movie!

I did this for a school project. I just graduated and I studied computer graphics and animation.

The intention with the music was to illustrate his two different moods; his melancholy and his elation. That was what i was trying for anyway, thats why the sudden jarring switch in music.

I agree with the music change that is needed. I do understand that you're trying to change the mood of the fish, but I think you could have stuck with the guitar. It would've been better if you kept the same main instrument in the music instead of such a drastic change.

wtf ifilm is so confusing now it takes forever to watch the damn movie b/c it has to scan your system why dont they have both options the scan for no0b's and the manual select for people who know enough

I went to Stetson University in DeLand Florida. I started off studying computer science but moved on to 3d animation cause I loved it. I also created another animated short thats a bit more advanced: its got walking and talking characters and lip sync. Its called Tooth Fairies and its showing at a couple film festivals soon. I hope to get it up online too eventually.

i used maya to make it and adobe premiere to edit it together. cool edit for sound stuff.

mmmmmmmmaya! Maya is soo great! I'm in 10th grade, but I took the beginning maya class (learning maya 3) at my city college two years ago, and have been part of a group called Aspire which we use A|W software (Maya) in their building, and do research. Last year we did a project of Plankton in the Santa Barbara channel, and this year we are making a shipwreck for our Maritime Museum. It's great software, and I love Premiere too

I hate this! I can't even WATCH your movie! I get a black screen where it would play, or I get just the backround.....same with the other movies there. I will download WMP latest (i have 6.4) and i did quicktime, but I can't choose it to watch QT format.
EDIT: WOOHOO! It works now! umm...maya 3.0 or 4.0 you used? just curious....

Wow, that was cool. btw, did you use one camera in Maya and Keyframe it, or did you render several cameras and match it up in Premiere?

I wrote the song with my roomate and my roomate sang it and played the guitar. I used Maya 2.5.
