You'll be lookign back on this 20 years from now and be thinking to yourself ...

What a wonderful experience.

And I'm not kidding. Enjoy these days while they last.

My wife goes in to go to bed and move him and finds him in the bed with no freaking pants or underwear on and he has crapped and peed all over in our bed! What the #@#*!!!!! So after my wife and I are done freaking out I give him a bath and take him into the living room while we clean up.

Then I hear him starting to barf and I run out there just as he is starting. I'm looking for something to catch it in becuase I don't want barf on the floor. All I can find is the robe he is wearing, but after about 2 seconds I realize it's not going to catch it. I pick him up and start running down the hall for the bathroom becuase he hasn't really started chucking it up yet so there is still a chance. Half way down the hall he hurls the rest out in a big streak down the hallway.

So at end of the night I have a barfed up hallway and a peed and crapped in bed. So now I'm online looking at how much steam cleaners cost so I can sanitize our house. I guess we'll be sleeping on the floor.

If it happened to someone else I think I would think the whole thing was pretty funny.

Been there... kinda but not that bad

Reason #2109 not to have kids.

although, you'd most likely be a sh!tty parent, so let's change the response to "reason #2109 for YOU not to have kids"

Hey now, that type of mentality makes for great commericals

Yep, that commercial just goes to show you why tools like that guy need to wear protection. What kind of parent would let the kid scream like that?

so please, if you're a piece of sh!t, don't have kids. We have enough trashy parents to deal with as it is.

Been there man, will likely be there again with 4 kids under 5yrs old of my own.

What I've learned was how much a difference it made for the kids how we handled the... excitement. The first time it happened we were pretty much panic city, didn't impart any sort of comfort to the sickling with our shocked comments and scramble for whatever. Now we're calm and methodical. If possible, one of us stabilizes/comforts the kid while the other makes a quiet but mad dash for sheets or towels to throw down.

It's funny after a while, though often not quite so while it's going on

sympathy for your little one. hope they're feelin' better.

Yes, it is. I have 2 kids, and am currently laughing as I type. Laughing WITH you, not AT you, remember.

BTW, poor little guy. Hope he feels better soon.

LOL, Yes! This reminds me of the time when my son was three and very sick. He projectile vomiting all over my BF. I was mortified at the time, but it's pretty funny thinking about it now.

Hope he feels better soon!

Me 2 but really I hope your son is ok. When my son was 4 we went to an A.W. restuarant and had chili dogs then stopped for ice cream. Went to the park and wrestled around on the ground( get that ****** good and strirred lol)
Got back into the van Put him in the seat right behind us in the middle. 3 minutes later he lets loose like the girl in the Exorcist and launches it all over the front windshield. Had to pull off the road and use my shirt to wipe off wind shield so I could see to drive home. Then had to clean up myself, son and inside of van.

With all the barfing, pooping, sweating, peeing you may want to think about taking your son to the hospital. He can become severaly dehydrated and could become worse. 5 years old doing all of what you have described is not what I would call a normal flu. What has his temp been though all of this?????

I agree. If he is still barfing, etc... he really needs to be checked out by a doctor. His temp is probably up there. Sorry to hear about your night, but I would be more worried about my son than the bed and floor.

Hope he gets to feeling better.

Wow, lot of posts on here since I was on last. Update: He is doing fine now, no more barfing or sleeping as much. I think he will be back to normal on Monday and go to school. He slept alot Friday and Saturday morning, but by the night Saturday he was up and about and drinking lots and eating more. Thanks for all the concern.

Glad to hear he is doing better.

You know, just think what WE did to our parents aye? We have all gotten sick, thrown up, they had to clean us up too. It's a part of life.
