My 8k7a croaked :(

It had been getting more and more unstable for the last week, freezing constantly until one day it froze and wouldn't POST. When I try to power it on, it just instantly flashes the FF code in my port 80 LED's and refuses to go any further On closer inspection, 4 of the pins in the ATX power connector from my powersupply look like they've been singed on the inside, but there isnt any visable damage on the motherboard itself. I'm thinking about the EpoX 8k3a+ as a replacement, is there any other motherboard I should consider? And should I replace my power supply (Antec 300w)?

sigh, she was a good motherboard...

mine is functioning overall but the power connector on the motherboard for the case fan has stopped passing power. I bought it from newegg last July and they have a 1 year warranty on it that is still in effect. If yours is from about the same period, check on that. You may be able to get a replacement.

That's good advice. BTW, will this hurt your ECCp stats? I guess the answer is yes but thought I'd ask anyways.

I'm pretty sure this thing is out of warrenty, so I just ordered an 8k3a+ from newegg, easier than dealing with RMA's anyway. Since my ECCp fleet is just this machine and an old P3 800, each running under 8 hours a day most of the time, I'm pretty sure this downtime will knock me out of the 30's and into the 40's for the team So much for reaching sub 35...
