Can a seller(a store on ebay) say something like this to you after you won the bid: We are sorry we do not have the item you won at our
auction - the ones we received were damaged.

They initially emailed to congratulate now they say this. What should I do. Btw, I mailed my money already.

Get the refund on the money, then feedback.

How did you mail the money? Check, money order, what?

perhaps you can put out a stop payment?

if you get teh cash back, dont worry about it. Things happen sometimes, no reason to post negative feedback.

I personally think that warrants negative feedback. The guy is OBLIGATED to sell you the item, he can't just bail out on you like that. If that was okay than I could start all my items at .01 with no reserve and if it didn't end at a desirable price than I would just null the auctions. Even if this seller isn't lying he should NEVER put on an auction for an item that is NOT already in his possession and accounted for... it's his own fault

Thats BS dude, negative feedback is definately in order. He sold you something before it was even in his possession. That was his fault. He shouldnt have posted until he got the product and was sure it was good to go.
