Very cool, I can't imagine what it would feel like knowing you just blew a gtr engine up.

serious question:

are GTR's that boring that you need 1000+ hp to make them exciting?

edit:

and that thumbsup pic with the black car; is that at the woodbury BP off 494 and valley creek?

When racing, do you typically stay at 5k rpm and above? Looks like that's where the turbos really build boost. What's it like driving day to day with boost coming in an higher rpms?

No, the exciting part is knowing the GTR is capable of 2000hp while still being street legal. All other cars would seem boring in comparison.

definitely not needed, but I had always wanted an 8 second street car and a car that would do 200mph in a standing half mile...so I will be doing both of those things before the end of the year...

unfortunately the pic was taken in IL when I picked up the first car..

Low-end response is absolutely fine for cruising around, merging etc....when racing, I generally stay at least 5000+rpm and brake boost as well....

here is a little video from me rolling into it on my low boost map (only about 1100whp in this video because it was cold out, I turned it down a bit)

Wow, that thing rips over 4K rpm. How does it compare to the e60 m5? We just got one for the wife; I may have to get a 6 speed one myself.

definitely a totally different beast, but I still loved my E60 m5....its like a formula one car for families haha...

I actually have an F10 M5 for my daily now, lots of fun...

So insanely jealous. I'm heading to Milwaukee in a couple weekends so maybe I'll see it somewhere?

Insane car! But a really narrow power curve...

Yea, the power curve is definitely narrower than stock, but I only rolled into it in 3rd gear to start (doing some datalogging and looking to get more datapoints/resolution) and I could have easily been in first which would have spooled much much sooner. Also, stock redline is around 7000rpm, and although the power comes on later now I can also rev to 8600+ on the built engine.

You need to drive more cars. I recently drove a 900hp Ruf CTR2 that would make you soil your shorts.
