My boss seems to think I spend too much time in the bathroom

All the places I've worked at have brought up the restroom topic at some point, but I've never had anyone complain to me about my usage. I don't make any effort to avoid using the facilities at work, they're there for a reason. However they are usually very clean.

If I didn't feel comfortable going to the restroom when needed, I'd be working elsewhere.

I knew so many people who did that at my last job...pretty sure he would go in there for 30-45 minutes just surfing/playing games. Hell, I did it when I worked my first internship...I would go into the stall just to listen to a few tracks off of 10,000 Days.

Public shitters suck, for sure. Some idiot at work, don't know who, clogs up the handicap stall every now and then. He doesn't even flush either, nor tries to push his "sanitary foundation" toilet paper into the bowl. This idiot also does this on floors other than his own too. There's another guy who pees all over the seat and never wipes it. Sharing sucks.

Here's the thing...everyone loves the handicap stall.

You walk in, and you are the king of the latrine. You are instantly gratified with the fact that the stall is already larger than other stalls, leaving you more room to feel comfortable. The stall is equipped with an extra handrail for those real tough turds. Sometimes, if you're lucky, the handicap stalls will flush themselves...

And, because of these reasons, more and more people use the handicap stall than any other stall, and, is more likely to be stuffed full of rank feces and toilet paper.

One job that stressed me out and I hated more than any job I had ever had would prompt me to take a 20 minute bathroom break once a day. It was the one escape, outside of lunch, I got.

I couldn't have cared less if my boss didn't like it. Maybe he shouldn't have gone out of his way to make my job suck -- for example, telling me after I was hired "you were hired to do the things no one else wants to do." Really? Gee, thanks. That's completely different than what you said in my interviews.

I remember when I was squeemish about toilets. I went to cub scout camp one year and didn't shit for five days because I was grossed out by the latrines.

The next year I tried to do the same thing, but I didn't make it. I remember running for the latrine, and when I was about 300 feet away I couldn't hold it anymore, I had to run into the woods and squat, then waddle around looking for leaves.

I decided right then and there that I would stop avoiding bathrooms. Now I can go pretty much anywhere. Even if the toilet is a bit sketchy, I just wipe it down. My skin will keep the germs out.

I'm always at work 5 minutes early, I leave usually 5-10 minutes after close, I don't take smoke breaks, I don't take coffee breaks, and I use the bathroom once a day, for 3 minutes. I rarely go out for lunch because I make my own food, so I typically use less than my allotted lunch time as well. Please don't make assumptions.

Wrong. I don't care that I'm "getting paid to take a dump." I'd pay back my boss the $0.75 a day I spend in there, but it's not worth the effort to bring up, let alone the fact that I put in more time than I get paid hourly for. I don't ask him to let me go home early on Friday because I racked up an hour of extra time earlier in the week, or pay me overtime.

IDk, I'll leave that to olds to clarify if he feels like it. The only thing I know about my boss is that he served in the army some time back. Don't know if that makes any difference.
