My bright idea for the day: CD + vinyl album in one!

They should make a new type of format to satisfy both the young and old, the people living in the present, and the people living in the past. They should make a new music format, that is both a CD and vinyl album at the same time. Of course you would have to make some type of special adapter to fit in on the record spindle, but that wouldn't be a big deal... So you could put the main songs on the CD, and then a bonus track or two on the vinyl part.

*This idea was inspired by the folks who created the record/vinyl looking CDR's.

Ever notice how hot it gets in a CD player/CD drive? I've seen vinyl records melted just by placing them ouside in the sun. Hmmm... lets put a low melting temperature plastic spun at high RPMs into sensitive electronics/optics...

I'm imagining someone in the past doing this:

well, I say we take laserdiscs and make them smaller so that they fit in a smaller drive and are easier to handle. They're smaller than laserdiscs, almost, compact, if you will. What to call them?

We could try a spin on laser....like Layzer disc...no that's too confusing....

You've never listened to an LP on a good system, have you. A properly cared-for LP sounds better than any CD.

EDIT: And for all you dolts who think that Digital is always superior, just keep thinking like that. The only thing that makes Analog inferior in application (it's superior in theory since it represents everything instead of a sample) is Analog's high susceptability to signal/transmission noise. A high-end Analog system must pay much closer attention to reducing signal noise and interferance because of the lack of error correction. A Digital system can put up with high signal noise by implementing a good error-correction system. Remember that the Analog computer is still being developed because it has great potential.
