she (dont remember if these are asexual or not) is probably 2' across if you spread her tentacles out...hardy little sucker as I got her back in 2000...

it slithers around the tank using its tentacles, pretty strange to watch...can't really tell how 'fast' she moves though...

I feed her frozen food...I know you are not supposed to do this, but I just take a cube of the frozen food and use some feeding tongs and wave it in front of her and she wraps her tentacles around it eats it...

Can you just buy some fresh mussels from the supermarket and will it eat them up?

They reproduce like crazy if they have food.

Some corals and fish are harvested from reefs, but some are bred. Which is the OP's??

the clown was tank raised, but since I ordered the live rock from FFexpress.com, it probably came from a reef ....

I have had this setup since 1999 and I don't remember that the Protect the Reef movement was a big topic (at least not near as what is now) back then...

In any event, I haven't bought any liverock since then and my livestock purchases have been minimal...

The lights run from 2 pm to 10 pm every day...

Sweet, I've wanted to get a brittle star for my reef, but my wife insists they are "creepy" and won't let me get one. Maybe I'll get one for my new tank. I'm in the process of taking both my tanks down and selling off most of the live stock and the tanks because we're moving cross country in two months. A friend is baby sitting my true percula and bangaii cardinal, both that I've had for four years, and then shipping them to me. When we get settled I'll setup a new tank, hopefully a 180, but nothing less than a 120. Maybe I can slip a brittle star in there without her noticing.

how would you ship a fish without it dying? that sounds hard...
