The clear plastic that protects the LCD on my digicam is lifting, thus allowing dust to get inside. I'm interested in knowing what kind of glue or sticker they used for this?

Gonna make two assumptions here:
A) - bleep thought you meant the soft peel off sticker
B) - you don't mean the soft peel off sticker

If the hard plastic layer is peeling I can tell you one thing to NOT do - do NOT use superglue. It'll cloud the plastic. (and may run inside and do something nasty)

Pics might be helpful, but that'll take another camera or some creative mirror work. Seems like the best best would be to carefully remove it completely - blow the dust out with compressed air - clean up the old glue carefully and reglue it.

Silicon wouldn't cloud anything and would seal nicely, but it's not going to bond very strong. Something thick like that would be good though. Maybe this

Hope that helped. If not it's a free bump.

actually, i dont know about silicon sealant. it releases some chemicals when it cures that might harm the camera's electronics. I used clear silicon sealant to seal up my headlight glass after i had removed it from the housing. Now I can see a slight haze on the inside
