I feel sorry that you find it necessary to be accepted by your culture and family through education. I'm all for education, I'm a junior in college myself, but I have an internal locus of control and motivation. I'm doing it so I can make an honest living doing something I enjoy and to provide for my future wife + kids. When you die, you don't take your degree / toys with you so if you honestly are getting education because you think it is a part of your culture, glad I'm not you.

I think someone really did use his screen name other than him as all the stories reflect his brother's experiences. It's not that big of a strech.

This is why accounts have these magical little things called 'passwords.' These 'passwords' are used to keep other people from posting something as you. If you are stupid enough (and we know aimster is, wether or not it *was* someone else*) to give your password to others, then yes, you should be banned. If Anandtech wanted there to be accounts used by groups or the public at large, they would just allow anonymous posting.

I don't know about you, but there is only one person who can access my computer. That is, yet again, why things such as Windows XP have usernames and passwords.

I don't know about you but my main computer isn't in the local library. I have one roommate. He is a nice person. We have our computers networked together and many times during the week he will hop on mine (it's downstairs) to pull a movie/tv show off his computer via a zip and copy it over to our computer running the MAME which is in the next room. I have found absolutely no use for a password in the last 2.5 years of my college carrier.

You all can learn something from this. This thread is an exact representation of a pathological liar. These people come few and far between, the (real pathalogical liars) I don't mean everyone who makes things up. This is an example of someone who in person will tell story after story that is not true, they wil then cover it up with yet another BS story. I have known 2 people like this in my lifetime, one was a recently past co-worker and it is funny at first, but eventually it becomes very irritating and the person is no longer trusted. Keep in mind that most of the time the person starts to believe their lies. It's an attempt at creating a fantasy world for yourself (IMHO)

2.5 years ago I was at the end of my freshman year. The last 2.5 years have been fine. Freshman year though, it was not so cozy. Do you understand now?

Yeah, I know. I'm just saying, if they're both on at the same time it's MORE believable, but not a rock solid for sure thing. From yesterday to today, I've seen both names on at seperate times, same time and off at the same time too. So that's a lot of effort to be signing on and off.
