my own little pride of 3 lost their kitty when he ate a rubber ball
.. the parents actually show the loss
.. i found it interesting that the father cat spent a lot of time playing with and teaching the kitten if it is allowed to grow up with the parents

.. so to replace my loss

I hate it when pets die. I think it's been over an year since my last cat died. Haven't felt like getting another one. I get too attached and cats seem to like me a lot. I know they are supposed to be independent creatures but most of my cats seemed to really like goofing around with me and always hanging around wherever I was.

I miss having cats around. Sorry for your loss.
