I think your cat will love mint(the plant of course). It may or may not help her breath. If it's really atrocious, a pvet visit may be in order. She could have mouth, or other issues.

My girl's breath smells alright unless she hisses. Then it smells like fish. My boy's breath is bad in general, but not exceptionally strong.

Your cat spends most of the day licking its balls, drinking toilet water, and eating snouts and entrails. Of course his breath stinks.

Probably needs its teeth cleaned. You can get stuff from the pet store for that.

Mine has pretty bad breath too, I think it's normal. Smells like fish, oddly. My cat also farts sometimes. At least I assume it's that. I'll randomly smell something rather foul coming from her. SBD.

ASPCA Bad Breath

By itself, I wouldn't be overly concerned about occasional bad breath.

If it were persistent, or accompanied by other symptoms, I'd be tempted to get a vet involved.

Try a diet of 90% dry cat food and a large chunk beef or chicken can type. Cut out the fish, mush types too. I feed six moist chunks on top of a bowl of dry, so it is yum yum moist in the morning and crunch crunch on dry food which cleans the teeth the rest of the day. Canned cat food being mostly mush, you may need to buy chunky dog food in the can.
