A relative's family had a dog with mouth cancer. The vet burned off part of its lower jaw where the growth was, but it still spread. Afterwards it couldn't lap up water properly, and saliva would just leak out all the time. A week or so later they decided to put an end to it.

Well, I own pets and I've had to put a cat down. I also have a son of my own, so I feel that I am qualified to make this comparison and I can tell you that a pet doesn't come close to the value I place on my son.

My dog was diagnosed with lukemia last week.
His blood test came back terrible.

He keeps passing out when he gets up after lying down for a long time.
Not really sure how long he has though.

Sucks, but they don't compare.

Edit-I was pretty upset this afternoon and it still is upsetting but I don't dwell on it and I feel a bit better now. If it were my son...god, I'd want to die...seriously.
