I have a cat that will come on calling her, she will sit on command, and she will leave our voice mail answering message.

My spoiled rotten Basset Hound , Fred. is the same. He got sick last Friday (july 14), I took him to the vet and is now on a special diet which requires me to cook for him.

He now eats 3 times a day and snickers every time I give him his meal.

He is teh KING.>

Although he does have a robotic litterbox.
I know that that'd terrify my cat the first time she would happen to hear it making an odd noise. Her reaction would likely be along the lines of, "Oh god! My toilet is trying to kill me!!!!"

I watched the "how it works" animation. It reminds me of a small cement mixer.

It doesn't cycle till the cat is done with their business (like 5 minutes later or so)

I had my doubts too, but they use it and I  it.

That's what I'd do, somehow the animal has probably just been conditioned to like that bottle.

OP title should read: My cat has me trained.

Our cats get distilled water as they are males, and have had urinary track infections before.

Many reviewers on Amazon, I've only had mine for a month or so. (Amazon GC's anyone?)

I can well imagine repairs would be a problem because the thing is pretty big & shipping would be a pain in the ass.

Cleaning could be an issue too becasue of it's size, some folks take it to a car wash every few months to give it a good cleaning, or put it in a large garbage sack & take the garden hose to it.

All I know is my litterbox was a problem with the sheer number of hours I work, I fell behind on it frequently.

There's a litterbox forum too It was actually pretty informative. litterbox central
