Ugh. First she wakes me up by walking all over me (so much for sleeping in), and now she's been walking around the house for the past hour just MEOWING. How can I shut this bitch up? I tried petting her, making sure she has enough food, etc.

HELP!

Honestly it could mean something else. Maybe she is in pain or there's something going on. Cats generally don't keep meowing over and over unless there is something wrong.

my cat likes to meow in the morning before we wake up for about 10 minutes and paws the shower glass. he eventually stops and jumps back on the bed.

Mine too, but he said it's been going on for over an hour and sounds like it isn't normal. Just saying.

I would make sure food, water, litter boxes are clean(sounds like you've already don this), if it continues for more then a few hours I would then probably at LEAST call a vet, if not bring her in.

It's that time of year, all my cats are wanting outside even though they are fixed. Even if they aren't outside cats and they are fixed their instincts are telling them they should be doing something.

Well she finally went to sleep, thank god. She hasn't been puking or anything that would indicate that she's sick or something. Could she just be getting senile in her old age? She's gotta be in her mid 60's by now. :hmm:

If she's 11 in human years, she's 80 in cat years.

(20 x 1st year) + (6 x 10 years) = 80

My cats are 120 years old.

That's horrible.

If she's sleeping, go cuddle her! She may have been craving your attention for some reason and if she wakes up to you she'll swoon

Maybe have her thyroid checked. Particularly if she is dropping any weight.

My neighbors cat's don't want to shut up day and night. It must be that time of the year for them.

was she meowing loudly or quietly?

if its very loud she could be going deaf. Just like people who are losing their hearing, cats 'talk' louder to compensate for not hearing themselves.

My cat did this. She was losing her hearing and began meowing rather loudly all the time.

This. My wife's cat was eating like crazy, but still losing weight. He's normally very well behaved, but he got to the point where he'd jump on the table while everyone is eating just to see if he could get something. Even though he was very well fed, he was starving to death.

We took him to the vet, and they did a few blood tests. Sure enough, his thyroid was the problem. Now he takes 3/4ths of a pill twice a day, and he has put weight back on with no issues. He's back to being loving and well behaved.
