When I was younger we had a cat like that. Every so often we'd come home to find a head, or just a body, sitting on our front doorstep. The cat would come wandering by, sniff it, then look at us, as if to say "Here's my rent."

It was kind of eerie, not a single sound outside ever, no chirping, no chipmunks, nothing. It was like a 500 yard deadzone around our house. Too bad when the cat was like 9 something larger and a bit more mean got it

Our 13 year old black and white short hair has allergies and scratches at her eyes when they tear up. We have tried everything including cortisone shots and benadryl pills. It got so bad that she detached her inner eyelid with her claws. She actually popped the inner eyelid out and beat it to bloody pulp once. Because of all that self abuse she is mostly blind now. Finally we had to have her declawed to stop her from hurting herself.

I should have had it done years ago, but the damn vet kept pushing expensive allergy testing and drugs that do nothing.

My wife?s old cat is just a bitch. She actually killed her first cat by constantly hitting it with claws out in the same spot day after day after day. The first cat got an infection and died before we were married! The ?bitch? cat also shredded my hand once when so I insisted that her front claws be removed before we were married.

My old cat at the time was afraid of the ?bitch? cat but was a great hunter. We lived on the edge of town and he would go in to the wheat fields and leave a dead mouse under the hose faucet almost everyday. Weird, the first time he left the mouse on the porch and my wife did the screaming girl thing so he switched to where only I would find them. Smart cat.

not much is happening these days. she still sneaks out when ever she can, but either she has killed off the population of moles and chippies, or she is getting lazy with the heat.

She was stalking a rabbit last night... if she follows last year's patterns, she start bring home smaller rabbits soon.
