<< You know how much of AMD's market consists of overclockers? Maybe 1% or so? It's a pretty insignificant market for them to invesnt extensive research in. >>
100% bullshit. Try 75+%. Practically everybody that uses these forums are OCers. Think about it for a sec, how the hell can it ONLY be 1% if 95% of the people here are OCers, and 60% use AMD. That 60% is probably 80% of AMD's total revenue.
Think before you type. >>
You're a bigger retard than I thought. Anantech forums consist of a mere MINORITY of all the computer users in the world. There are much more AMD users outside. The numbers may not be 1% but it's definitely 75% that overclocks. I've got tons of friends that do not overclock their AMD and they're happy with it. >>
You and I would agree that AMD has a bigger presence in the enthusiasts market than retail, therefore I allotted 20% of AMD systems sold for Joe Six pack buying AMD at Compusa. Joe Six pack doesn't know how to OC so that would be 100%-20% = 80%. Out of the enthusiasts, as you said, some do not overclock so that would be probably 5%, 80%-5%=75%. I think my estimations are correct.
Before you insult people, look at the matter logically. >>
so every enthusiast is an AT member?
