My computer freezes when playing Far cry, Oh yeah and I heard about Far Cry's 64 bit capabilities, how do u use it.

I run everything at max and it doesn't lag at all except after like 45 mins of playing the system freezes for some reseon. BTW,I heard about Far Cry's 64 bit capabilities, how do u use it?

You might try running something like Mother Board Monitor while you are playing, to see how high your temps are getting. Obviously you'll need to stop playing and check before things freeze up.

My temps are usually at 50 C after a while of playing.

I don't know about the 64 bit enhancements, but it sounds like your video card may be overheating. I don;t think that is on MBM. And I don;t know what utilities Nvidia has for monitoring temp. I do know that the Athlon64 runs much coolers than XP's and I think cooler than P4's, so my best guess is the video card overheating. Case ventilation ? Leave the cover off, and use a small external fan ? (to see if it helps)

ambient means the surrounding air

Thats right, 64-bit Far Cry will be released when WinXP-64 is. I Saw a demo of it at an AMD sponsored event.
There arent many graphics enhancements so to speak, but it makes the map area HUGE!!!!! I'm talking 100+x100+ sqmi maps

AFAIK, there will be a 64 bit version of Unreal Tournament 2004 and America's Army.

Those of you old enough to remember... do you remember how late in its life, Windows 3.1 had something called "Win32s" released for it, which allowed certain 32-bit programs to run under a pure 16-bit OS (Windows 3.1)?

Would it be possible for something similar made for Win2k/XP? To allow specially compiled 64-bit apps to run under the 32-bit NT kernel operating systems?
