My computer icon no longer works

- uninstalled Sisoft Sandra- removing it remove the functionality of the icon- it no longer opens my drives when I click on it; anybody know how to get it back to normal

Haven't used it for awhile, but didn't the old TweakUI have an option in it for rebuilding icons, settings ect.?

rebuilds the icon- not the functionality- nice try though- never thought of that

Actually I was thinking it had an option to remove it and bringing it back may help, but I see it doesn't do that either.....

What happens now if you right click it?

Have you tried re-booting? Seriously, it can't hurt. If the icon is still there, right-clicking should do something. Nobody deleted all you icons and replaced your desktop with a screen shot of the desktop at an earlier date.

-sorry- right click- 5 options -1&2 open or close network drive /pr0perties- brings up device manager, hardware profile,general/ rename/ and create shortcut

In TweakUI on the repair page the list says Repair icons, if you use that scroll box there will be more options such as Repair Associations, try that one.
