I built a computer that has been running fine for almost three years now. It's the rig in my sig. Recently it's been acting nuts on me. After installing Mozy Home on it it started locking up after long periods of inactivity and I would have to do a hard shut off just to get it back up again. So I disabled Mozy to see if it would still lock up. For a couple of days it worked but then it locked up again.
I thought I was running out of memory so I only ran the computer with minimal stuff running and it still locked up. So I try to go into the BIOS to check computer health settings like temperature and stuff and everything looked fine. The only thing that looked kind of weird were my voltages. Everything was off by like .30V. For example the 12V rail was clocking in at 11.60V which doesn't seem weird to me at all since it's always been like that since the day I built it. So I left the BIOS and then the weird stuff started happening.
The BIOS lost my RAID settings, my DVD drive and my SATA hard drives. So I rebooted the thing and went into the BIOS again and it was still gone. However, this time the BIOS locked up. Rebooted again and the same result. So I power off the power supply in the back and powered it back on and all my settings came back. However, my RAID array is screwed up and I can't boot into Windows.
Am I having a power supply issue? Power supply issues I've had before either caused random reboots or no power at all. But freezing? Is it a motherboard issue?
