My ConsumerReportsOnline subscription is up - anyone got another deal?

Hey, this is posted to find out if anyone has found any deals/coupons on Consumer Reports Online. My free month ran out and I'm sure that everyone elses is running out soon, if it hasn't already. I know, I know, g'head, link me to the rules, gimme all the flames, scream and cry to up your post count...nah, on second thought SAVE IT.

Mods, if you want this locked, I understand. However, I believe that this post will be as beneficial to everyone as the original deal is expiring.

ConsumerReportsOnline.org sent me the email informing me of this and the renewal price is $24 ($19 if you subscribe to the print edition)

heres a deal. subscribe, then cancel. before they make it official they will give you the opportunity to purchase one year for $18.

I love a hot deal as much as the next guy, but at some point you have to pay the piper. If you use CR to save yourself time, money, and hassel, then shell out the measly $2 a month. You'll likely save that on one purchase you make based on their information. And as for signing up then cancelling to get a discount, sheesh. Grow up. People do sh*t like that and then b*tch when companies either go out of business or stop offering the service.

Follow his advice...pay $42 for a year of CR online!

When you first subscribe you are charged up front. If you wait until your subscription is about up, then cancel, then the $18 is a deal (that's what I did).

What I find annoying, and this OT, but so is this entire thread, is that if
you are already a subscriber to the printed mag (which I am), they
don't offer the online subscription as a super-cheap addon.

I won't pay the piper when I am already a fully paid up multi
year subscriber to their written mag...I just won't use the online
service. The loss is mine, I guess, but that's the wasy I feel.
