Yes; accumulation of lethal genes increases as a direct correlation to increasing relatedness.

It becomes an issue after several generations of inbreeding. In labs, we maaintain several lines of inbred animals (mice, flys, fish, whatever) b/c we want to study a handful of specific things. These animals suck at like though b/c of massive inbreeding. Some lines eventually just die out and can't reproduce anymore.

In this troll's case, however, inbreeding is not an issue. They are not blood related.
