Have a question for people that might know. He heard about marijuana oil? He asked me about it and since I live in Colorado he wanted to see if I could obtain it. I told him even if I could I more than likely couldn't ship it to him. He lives in IL. How could I do this and what is this MJ oil thing? TIA!

Sorry to hear about your cousin's situation. Unfortunately it seems there is no one anymore who doesn't know someone who had or died from cancer. It affects so many. I really hope better treatments can be found.

Cannabis oil is said to have anti-cancer properties, there is probably some truth to that, but I highly doubt it's any kind of miracle cure. Most people with cancer that use marijuana do so because it helps make them hungry, it keeps weight on. Also, it's a very effective anti-nausea medicine, a common side effect of chemo. And for some it can be analgesic.

I don't want to be political, but the War on Drugs has made research pretty hard, unfortunately. I have no idea how you take it, get it, or find a doctor that might be willing to try it or is familiar with it. Probably take some searching.

I don't know much in the way of specifics, but it's been at least somewhat legalized in Iowa, which is next door to Illinois.

Thanks slag! He's in good spirits, but my other cousin tells me he's lost a lot of weight just like you and he wasn't exactly fat. Was in good shape. I can only imagine what he looks like.

I hope you can eat. I would definitely have the doctor check on your thyroid. Maybe there's a medication for that?

Well, things aren't looking good for my cousin right now. Would you believe that not only is he dealing with the sickness of chemo and pain, but he got gallstones and had to be taken via ambulance to the hospital. He's been through hell.



He's a big time fisherman as you can see. The salmon were caught in Lake Michigan. He's a damn good cook too! I had his smoked salmon and it was fantastic! He actually worked as a cook before.

His mom (my aunt) actually had colon cancer back in 2001. And her husband (my uncle and my cousin's step father) died just a couple years ago. Now my cousin at the age of 51 has this crap.

Every time I call him he's either sleeping or has to do something so I'm not in contact with him as much as I'd like to be. From time to time I talk to him on Facebook. I wished him a happy Easter and said I loved him, but he never responded. I'm wondering if he's just too sick.

Now a great friend of the family has cancer. It's in his brain and esophagus. His duather just got married and was able to walk her down the aisle, but had to go home after that. I actually had a dream I gave him a hug which was really wierd because I've never dreamed of him before. I have fond memories of him back when I was a kid in the 80's of fishing and going to the gas station he owned buying candy bars and watching him fix cars. He even had one of those old soda machines out front that you removed the bottle cap in the machine. Sometimes I feel like I've experienced life back in the 60's or something. I drank pop from a bottle. I used to play records all the time, had my own small record player and used to listen to Buddy Holly on cassette.

My mom tried to call my cousin this Easter, but he didn't answer the phone. I'm always afraid of calling him myself because I know he's weak and always tired and I don't want to disturb him. My last call with him was on Saint Patrick's. And that call lasted but 5 minutes.

He turns 51 this May 6th.

Well, he has 12-18 months. Has cancer now in his back. Went and had a 2 hour long MRI. He couldn't take it and pressed the button to have some one come get him out of that fucker and they said just one more minute. I don't know why the hell he was in there for 2 hours. I had an MRI and it was 45 minutes tops! This was for my back as well. Perhaps they really needed to align the shit of of his back molecules?
